Cookies Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are very small files that are saved on your device and are used to store specific settings and data necessary for communication with our system through your browser.

Pursuant to Article 122 of Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003, the General Provision of the Italian Data Protection Authority of May 8, 2014, and the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority that became effective on January 9, 2022, we inform you that during your navigation on our Website, information may be collected through so-called "technical cookies." Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service" (see Article 122, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003).

Cookies can be classified in various ways based on different criteria.

In relation to the duration of cookies, they can be divided into two types:

session cookies: these cookies are deleted as soon as you close your browser;

permanent cookies: these cookies are stored on your device for a long period of time or permanently.

In relation to their purpose, there are two categories of cookies: technical cookies and profiling cookies.

Technical cookies: these cookies are necessary for the website to function properly and are essential for browsing the site. Without technical cookies, you may not be able to view the pages correctly or use certain services.

A technical cookie, for example, is essential for keeping the user connected throughout their visit to a website, or for storing language settings, display settings, and other settings.

Technical cookies can be further divided into: navigation cookies, analytics cookies, and functionality cookies.

Navigation cookies ensure the smooth navigation and use of the website (for example, they allow you to make a purchase or authenticate yourself to access restricted areas).

Analytics cookies are similar to technical cookies only when:

➢ they are used solely to produce aggregate statistics and in relation to a single website or mobile application;

➢ for third-party cookies, at least the fourth component of the IP address is masked;

➢ third parties refrain from combining analytics cookies, thus minimized, with other processing (customer files or statistics on visits to other sites, for example) or from transmitting them to other third parties.

Functionality cookies allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase, etc.), in order to improve the service provided to the user.

Profiling cookies: these cookies are used to profile the user. They are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user during their browsing.

Depending on who installs the cookies on the user's terminal, cookies can be first-party or third-party cookies.

First-party cookies: these are cookies installed by the operator of the site you are visiting.

Third-party cookies: these are cookies that are installed on the user's terminal by a site other than the one the user is visiting; this installation is done through the site the user is visiting.

What data is stored in cookies?

No personal data is stored in cookies. Therefore, the cookies we use are not attributable to a person and therefore cannot be traced back to you in any way. When cookies are activated, an identification code is assigned. At no time will it be possible to trace your personal data back to this code, and at no time will any attempt be made to do so. Your name, IP address, and similar data that could lead back to you will never be used. With cookies, we can only receive information linked to a pseudonym, and exclusively concerning your experience of using our website, e.g., which products are most viewed, etc.

How can I prevent cookies from being stored?

In your browser, you can set that you only want to accept cookies on request.

If you want to accept cookies, but not cookies from our service providers and partners, you can select the "block third-party cookies" setting in your browser.

Normally, in the support section of your web browser menu, you can see how to reject new cookies and deactivate existing cookies.

In the case of shared computers set up to accept cookies and flash cookies, we recommend that you always log out completely after use.

How to revoke consent to the use of cookies?

Since it is the user's browser that stores cookies sent by the site on the hard disk, it is possible to change the program settings to disable the storage of cookies. With regard to profiling cookies aimed at offering you personalized advertising, we inform you that if you opt out, you will continue to receive generic advertising.
